Peugeot ?? Frame replacement

hi,
i crashed my bike not long ago,
and my really old *velo sport alpin* steel frame got bent

since then im searching for a replacement

someone near me is selling for 30$

and im really wondering what model of peugeot frame it is
and if 30$ would be a good price for it

i dont think its a pX-10 (sadly ) but perhaps its a decent peugeot frame
or perhaps its another heavy monster truck and i should just keep on looking

I have no idea what sort of frame it is. That being said, $30 is fine if the bottom bracket spins. That being said, you should ask in the Classic and Vintage forum.

I wouldn't buy it strictly because its French made and parts are different spec than most bikes

It takes two parts, a bb and headset. Headset should be standard, not sure on bb, but if that one is fine, why not go for it?

If I remember correctly, not all Peugeot's are French threaded. That stopped sometime mid-80's? Also, it's probably carbolite 103 steel, i.e. peugeot's way of saying the main triangle is 531 and the rest is whatever. It's $30. Don't rack your brain too hard.

It's just the bottom bracket really in this case if OP is about to make it fixed considering the possibly odd sized seatpost is already present and velo orange has plenty french thread BB's on hand. Not to mention a BB can usually can be salvaged via a rebuild.

Judging from the peugeot rainbow livery, the headset has been standardized by this make.

I think it was along the higher tiers through with reynolds tubing.
