Tire Sealant
My bike is been in the garage for about 3 months without being ridden. It has been hotter than blazes this summer. It looks like the summer heat will break in the next few weeks so I want to get the bike ready to go. To that end I am sure I need to add sealant to the tires. I wanted to ask how much sealant do you recommend I add to each tire. They are 29".
Thanks in advance.

Wouldn’t tire width factor into the equation?

I think every sealant vendor posts recommended amounts. I usually put in one and and half recommended amount.

Read the bottle, it varies between tubeless, tubular and using tubes

I live in the South and my garage is generally about 110 to 115 in the summer, I use 40ml of Orange Seal Endurance initially for 28's and 30's and will add about 15ml every 6 weeks or so while it is stupid hot. This year has been more brutal than normal, so I moved to monthly. I will pull some out with a syringe first and if I have at least 25ml then I don't add, but will add some in a couple of weeks.

You may need to extract what is left of the old sealant.
From front and rear of 2.6” 29er tires. Bontrager sealant after 6 months.

The 1.5oz lasted about 13 months (approx 1500 miles) with no flats.
Temp reached 36 centigrade once.
After 13 months I got 3 flats in 2 weeks, put 1oz of new Orange Seal in and no flats since.

The blue latex coats the tire wall. That is the left over water extracted with the injector syringe. I just have to remember to extract it and add more active sealant. I may need to try another brand. It’s a Fuel Ex 8 I got last January. I’m setting up my Domane tubeless soon so could use another in it. I just have to remember what is used where. It’s gravel wheel set up uses Stan’s sealant.
