So when I bought a set of Columbus centenario espresso cups for my brother in law, I got a second set for some other deserving person. When I find that person, I'll be sure the cups are clean.

My elder son says he just goes through the tool section at Home Depot and picks out stuff he would want for himself as gifts for me and his brother. He got me something I didn't know existed -- a Husky ratcheting combo wrench set (metric, of course -- I raised my boys right ) with ratchets on the open end as well as the box end sides.

Santa brought two of my kids Cannondale trail 24s which seem to be the nicest in their price range that I can see. No freewheel, disc brakes, suspension fork, 1x8, kenda smal block 8 for real trail use. They'll probably need an air shock upgrade but that still keeps them cheaper by a couple hundred then the cheapest air shock equipped 24" bike I could find.
Youngest got a 16" park cycles brand bike. Seems like a really nice bike for the price overall for 250 shipped to the door and only weighs in at a hair under 17lb. Looks like a better parts bin seatpost will shave a bit more off. Only complaint with it was the rear wheel was really out of round. Brand seems newer and only offer 12",14", and 16" bikes. Like the Spawn I was looking at it uses front and rear brakes and a freewheel. Also came with a shorter crank then the spawn so some real thought into kid sizing.
I didn't get anything cycling related other than a t-shirt but did get a small square of ground in Scotland to help renovate a castle, allows me to use the title laird even if its only symbolic. I'll be buying myself a pair of lightbicycle carbon rims next week to make up for the lack at christmas.

I got a truing stand! I've wanted one for years, but they were always more than I wanted to spend and then an add came up in my instagram feed for a park "Professional truing stand" for $80, so I sent the link to my brother and told him to split the cost between all 6 of my relatives and now I can make wheels crispy straight in my garage and won't have to drive to my friends house to use his truing stand.

English or USA built Ford...weren't all USA Fords standard?
Laird A very wise decision to buy something for yourself at a later date due to the lack of respect that your family displayed to you and your prestigious rank.
Split 7 ways, that's Scrooge like...but a very wise negotiation!

I *almost* got my husband a group of three wrench sets, 2 hex and a torx. When I realized I was just planning on stealing one from him I changed my mind. As for metric...I have a penchant for old Fords that can't decide if they need imperial or metric.

My husband wishes they were. There would have been a lot less cussing when he worked on my old '68, '92 or '03 pickups. Thankfully, they're all metric now, it seems. (Our daily drivers are a '13 and '14.)

Nothing bike related (I have enough bike stuff already); but some top-notch Xmas scotch. Aberlour 10-year-old and Laphroaig 12-year-old. Twenty two years worth of single malt I hope will get me through to next Christmas.

I have no need for any more nick nacky physical objects in my life, thus the "I ONLY WANT ONE THING!!!!" I was going to buy the truing stand for myself when that screaming deal popped up, then realized Xmas was close enough and I didn't need the truing stand before Xmas so it worked out perfect. I have 5 or so wheels to build when I get back to Idaho and I'll be smiling the whole time!

Getting quality kids bikes is almost always an investment in time(searching and/or cobbling together) or an actual financial investment.
Ive built the mountain bikes for both my girls(24" for 9yo and 26" for 12yo) in order to make them relatively lighter and higher quality. Nutted wheels on a bike that costs more than $250 is completely absurd- QR should be a minimum expectation. 1x8 or 1x9 just isnt expensive either, yet 1x7 Tourney level floods the market of bike shop level/priced kids bikes.
Its rough to find kids bikes that arent WAY overbuilt, WAY too heavy, WAY too low level, WAY too wonky geometry, and for a good price.
Isla, Frog, and many others seem to have forced larger brands to put even a little bit of effort into kids bikes over the last few years, which has been good to see.

I've not been naughty, but I'm more of a giver....so I played Santa:
Guerciotti Sport. Chorus Synchro 2. FIR rims, etc.
Yes, NOS. Yes, the bike AND the group. Pic is after she rode it.
A shorter stem is en route from the UK.
I bought Speedplay Zero's instead of X1/X2's. (They all look alike).
Bring on sunny days!

My wife bought me:
(A) Continental 5000 tires in 700x25; gotta wait until I wear out the 4000's but looking forward to seeing how the new ones perform.
(B) Masi T-shirt in a nice royal blue. OK, it say's "California" under "MASI", and mine ain't, but close enough.
(C) TWO sets of Milwaukee screwdrivers (I had mentioned Snap-On, but when I saw the price, I told her to avoid those. My other tools are decent, but my assorted screwdrivers in some case to when I was young, late 60's / early 70's and not good ones then. So I have a set for the garage, and one for the basement workshop.

No wife.
On Christmas day, she completed her 5,000th mile for 2019.
I'm just trying to slow her down!
She had a custom fillet-brazed Mercian that tangled with a garage door.
Discussions this weekend indicate that may be my next project.
