FS: Scott Paisley Touring Bike Frame - 61cmx56cm - Reynolds 531st

Picked this up based on the seat tube dimension not knowing it had a shorter top tube for a more upright fit and I can't make it work for me unfortunately. Not sure of the year it was built, but it is from Scott Paisley's shop in VA. Built with Reynolds 531st, it features some really nice lug work, fork crown, rack braze-ons, Shimano dropouts and has clearance for 700x32c tires. The paint has been touched up in a few places and is not perfect, but looks very good from a few feet away.

Measurements as follows:
Top Tube - ~56cm ctc
Seat Tube 60cm ctc 61.5cm ctt
Head tube 23cm
Chainstays 42cm center to center
Asking $275 as pictured plus actual shipping from 80222

Album HERE

That screams 1989 to me with the fade paint and graphics. Looks like lovely work. GLWS

Sorry that this frame I sold you didn't work out.

Since I had the frame built up when I owned it, I had a chance to do my own (probably not perfectly exact) measuring. I think you probably should indicate that the top tube is sloped, so the effective top tube is longer than 56cm, more like 57. And while the seat tube may be 61cm, the effective size is closer to 64cm, I think. I ran 23mm tires, and for me the standover height in the middle was about 88cm.

Thanks for the additional info! I was bummed about it as well, but the RS fits like a glove and rides like a dream!

Very tempting, a bit small but I have a couple like this that are short and tall like this and they are some of my best riding bikes.

One of them is part of the reason the new Strawberry turned out to be such a fantastic rider as it was used in the fitting.

I have another one that is too small but couldn't pass up at the time.
