That's what happens when you have a carbon fiber bike and fill the tires with helium.

Love those pedals

Anybody want to bet there are scratches on the seat, and bars/stem/shifters?

Dude is like: I got to sell this bike, I pedal and the rear tire rubs my ass, the front just sits there and most the time I just fall over. It took me two days of scooching to get from the beach to this fence across the street. I give up.. who knew riding a bike could be so complicated!

CL Schwinn Paramount - Only $50??

I don't think this was an late April Fool's joke, but the telephone number went directly to voice mail and no call back yet! I wonder if this is really the for sale bike as the seller indicates he will text message a picture of the two bikes he's selling. If this is indeed the $50 bike I wonder if anyone told them this bike is worth X10 + double his asking price.

Google Image search says the picture also appears here.

Seller forgot the "Picture for Illustration Only" disclaimer. Sort of like the food labels that say "Serving Suggestion".

Unique bike.

I'd have too worry about something like that listed as "0 miles."

Didn't work as the builder expected? $300 wall hanger?

Great find for the picture source. Yeah I'm sure given enough time we could think of a zillion disclaimers for this seller.

Sadly selling like this is so much like the old Bait-and-Switch. If the person will text message pictures, which never are very good, why not just include them in the CL ad. The wonderful world of CL BTW, since I left a voice mail I never received any pictures of the real bikes.

All it needs is a new frame and a drivetrain

Send a text if you want a reply by text. I hate it when people respond to an e-mail with a text.

Sometimes sellers are just too lazy to upload their own photos. All Schwinns look the same, right?

Perhaps it is a stolen bike (bikes). Much safer to upload someone else's photos.

The ad says "This bike demands a lot of attention at rides." Does this mean that it is very difficult to ride, or maybe needs frequent mechanical help, or (probably) the tires need pumped every few miles.

I prefer bikes that don't demand a lot of attention.

There's much about this bike I don't understand from the ad copy. Also looks like they raided the parts bin. It has an Shimano Ultegra FD, Sram Apex RD and Campagnolo brakes.

Custom made road bike. 6 speed, brand new de-railer and gear system. Crane Creek Fork Stem Also has a carbon fiber frame. "Very fast" - Ricky Bobby.

I think they mean it's for an owner who demands a lot of attention at rides....

Maybe he means it GETS a lot of attention at rides? I certainly would not want a bike which DEMANDS attention.

He replaced them with some decent MTB platforms.

"Commands," not "demands," is probably the word he wanted. It works in the context.

There was a thread a few years ago with a few beautiful road bikes that had holes drilled through the tubes, but they had reinforcements running across the tube too.

(21 pics and not one of the seat stay cluster. Seat post is one those rare "Seuss" models? And if that is the way it is supposed to be, it shouldn't.)
