Bell's got back to me and offered to refund me the difference if I kept the origin8 clips. told them no dice because they charge like $15 for them on amazon ($24 or something on their ebay). the price on amazon has gone up since, sorry!

i don't think i've seen this posted in this thread yet, but if it has been, consider this my +1

https://www.biketiresdirect.com

just ordered from them- received the order in three days. no complaints and great prices on what they do have.

^ I've used them as well. lots of options and reasonable (tho not the cheapest) prices. They lure you back in with their point system too. Knowing I had a free $6 to spend there made me place an order there made it too easy to make a follow up order

should've gone with retro-gression!

fwiw I got a response to my price request from competitive cyclist and they honored the $50 advertisement for my saddle

and Bell's said they'd give me $7 back to keep the origin8 clips, I said okay, still awaiting that payment though..

I looked into it but the difference in shipping costs was too substantial....being from Canada and all....

Just waiting to hear back from them, I've already had to pay the customs fees upon delivery so I'm not sure how this is all gonna be handled.

So it seems like the chances of this turning into a nightmare far outweigh the chances of it working out nicely....all thanks to a simple error. There aren't any/many favorable options for me, and I'm still waiting for a reply.

What's wrong with coghouse?

Multiple emails and a paypal dispute later, they still won't reply me. I know they're not dead since they've still been leaving feedback for buyers everyday....

It's been years since I had a paypal dispute, but if paypal cannot make contact with them within a certain amount of time, they generally give you a full refund and call it a day. It is odd though, as coghouse seems pretty legitimate.

Pay me a bounty and I'll personally go to coghouse HQ down here in SD to manhandle them for yea. That's right, they're right next to the costco at gateway center drive.

I realized a problem after I opened the dispute though, I will lose($$) much more than coghouse whether I win the dispute or not so right now it's a lose/lose situation for me unless coghouse finally replies and comes up with some compromise to fix the problem that they caused.

How that makes sense will make me rethink paypal now....

Why would you lose and money if you win the dispute?

edit: oh wait...you're in Canada and had to pay tax.

That's not the bad part, because I think I can get a refund for most of it back.
The part that really makes me the loser is that I'm not a business nor a high volume shipper, and this is a bike frame that I would need to ship back to the states.

For a paypal SNAD claim you don't get the refund until seller receives the item back at the buyer's expense. Which makes no sense to me if 100% of the fault lies with the seller.

I'll probably try calling tomorrow or Monday if there's still no response (I don't know how someone doesn't respond to a paypal dispute unless it's on purpose).

They should also be getting a complaint soon if they haven't already from at least one other customer(in Europe) since I have that customer's order.

City Grounds sent me a frame with chipped paint. Told me to contact UPS to file a claim. UPS took the frame back to City Grounds (i just had to leave it on my porch) free of charge. In the end, City Grounds was the only party who lost money as they had to pay shipping both ways and ended up with an unsellable frame. I guess the chipped paint was 1000x worse when they got it back, though UPS wouldn't admit any fault.

Anyways, my point is, if Cog House is at fault then you shouldn't lose a dime in this ordeal. Even your Canada Tax should be reimbursed.

That's more of a fault in the Paypal dispute system, that a buyer has to ship the wrong item at his/her own expense in order to receive a refund in the original amount from a won dispute.

I got a reply Friday morning to the original message I sent on Monday....telling me to call. I usually try to avoid calling since I like to have everything in writing, especially if the order is international or overseas. Right now I'm just waiting for them to email me a UPS shipping label. (How long does this take?)

Seems to me like they don't receive/look at non-ebay messages in a timely manner or something cause I'm not sure they even know of the paypal dispute that's been filed days ago. Prior to their response of my first message I've also sent emails to three other of their emails which I know of to no response.

Edit: Took a week to get a dialogue going but once we did they(Coghouse) did well to correct the situation. Happy with how it was handled and how it turned out...

I noticed that since the OP posted, there are a lot of links that added onto the thread after the original couple of lists. Maybe we could get one big list and have the OP edit the first post of teh thread and paste the gigantic list. Or maybe even better......gather together all the links that everyone agrees is reliable, and throw it together in a thread created by a mod to which we add continually. The list will be the first post in the thread etc.

IDK. Id find it more conveninet and i think you would to, if all the links everyone is posting in this thread were immediately accessible.

Not sure, but their shipping is really expensive and they're based in Indonesia, so I wouldn't expect much from their customer service if you're in the US. Too good to be true, probably isn't, yadda yadda.
