Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

went to buy some khakis

and noticed the gap shot one of their models on a trek district carbon belt drive. i was angry at first but soon realized it was like a little treat just for us bike nerds.

khakis look great too.

one time i ripped my crotch on some cutoff jogging pants while riding and i was far from home. i was near the gap[literally i tore them at the intersection] so i went in and bought some khaki cargos that were on clearance. i asked to borrow some scissors and cut them off right there. salesgirl horrified. cool story bro.

I'll take the two models. cc700 can have the light blue republic with orange and yellow wheels.

I was in my local Levi's store a few weeks ago, and to go with their new Commuter jeans, they had a bike in the store. I believe it was a Soho S.

Which he will promptly powdercoat and switch out every component at least three times.

Trek probably figures that considering no one is buying their pricey single speed bikes, they may as well offer them up as advertising props.

Haha, this happened during my riding excursion to DC two weeks ago. I wore through the crotch of my old Old Navy Chinos (it was a long and hot day in the saddle) so I rode to the nearest Gap and bought a pair of shorts which I then put on in the dressing room, and rode off.

I was having difficulty finding the Gap so I was walking my bike on the sidewalk staring at my iPhone. I walked by two hard-ass looking messengers (they looked like they hadn't showered/changed out of their gear in months) who were talking. I felt like such a poser, walking my shiny new Kilo, staring at my iPhone, looking for the nearest Gap

+1. The models look angry, and I'm not sure they'd be much for a conversation.
