Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Damn. All these vintage CDales are lookin pretty fly. I heard that they are really uncomfortable to ride because CDale's early aluminum frame designs didn't build in much comfort. Is that true?

I just popped on my new team tires onto my "Carbon Tubular" wheelset. The tires are very nice, and custom.
Vittoria Pave CG's are goign on this wheelset though so picture green tires.

I need to switch bar tape, should I go with white again or black?

This bike rules. I'm psyched to see fluida bars on a bike cause I just ordered some!

Dgasmd, that Time is so hot. The first time I ever saw that frameset, in VeloNews, I stared at it for 10 minutes.
Built up, it is so much hotter. I'm really, really envious of that bike, you have no idea.

And my wheels are carbon tubulars, 50mm to be exact.
I'm sponsored by Zipp, so I had to get black vinyl decals to cover the original ones on the wheels (under the clearcoat). Unfortunately, the decal is thin, and the original decals are raised a bit so you can kinda make out what they used to be.

All parts can be found online quite easily, so you can add them up. Suffice it to say I did not pay retail for most things.

When I saw it there too, I must have drooled for an hour too. It was a matter of "TIME" before I got it. My other choices were a Canyon, a Parlee, and a Colnago. I am very glad I went with this one though, but now that I own it, I am biased

You are correct on the tape. It has been fixed as has a couple of other things like seat height and such.

Aerolite Pedals. Omni Racer skewers (Ebay). TT length is 53.5 cm. I won't buy you one. I'll buy one of each color. Coming on your next birthday or Festibus Day, whichever comes first

The hottest bike on BF is still that red and black Serotta a few pages back.

That's pretty close, though.
