Old avid cyclist ... but not for a while. Getting back into it.
I'm over 60, have COPD along with a couple other health issues, and no car. In my younger days, I used to take my bike everywhere, instead of my car, whenever I could. I haven't been on a bike for a while. I recently got a bike to get around the city. It started out as a necessity. I soon realized how much I miss the old charcoal gray Schwinn I bought in high school and rode for years. Then I found all the new bike trails / path. They did not exist last century. My health is better. I'm less stressed. And it's just plain fun.
I found your site when the weird rear brake on my Raleigh Citylite broke. A member on the vintage bike sub group replied. We emailed back and forth. He identified the problem and explained how to fix it. (Thank you Kurt!)
Great forum. Glad I found it. I might not post much but I will be reading a lot.
