Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That first pic was before I got to dialing in the fit; as of today, the only part left to be installed is the front derailleur which arrives tomorrow.

What's up fellow CAAD Cutlers? I have not posted in a while, It's been a busy spring for me. Moving racing and divorce! It's hard to see in this image, but I found some Michelin Pro Race 3's that are a near match to my bikes blue. They are super sweet tires, good grip, lively feel and good wear. I have taken them on some gravel roads with no issue. Keep the rubber side down, boys and girls, and ride like you stole it!

I actually bought this to be the "rainy day" backup for the Ridley. I doubt I'll ever get into racing as I only ride primarily on the weekends(100-150 miles) with an occasional 20-30 mile ride during the week; besides work and chasing after the little ones (5yr, 3yr, 16mos) most of my spare time has been focused on shorinji kempo. I've begun training again as I took a long 6-7 yr. hiatus and now practicing and working for my 1st degree black belt.

What is it with you guys and your rainy day bikes? Bikes are meant to be ridden in all kinds of weather! You just have to wash it when your done. I ride the same bike rain, shine, snow. I even ride it on unpaved roads. I guess if a person is a **** mechanic or doesn't take the time to learn then I undersand........ no,forget that, buy the tools and gain the knowledge to maintain your bike!

What is it with people that only have one bike? That makes me sad. hahaha

Another advantage of multiple bikes is that you have "spare parts" on other bikes.

I got my wheels yesterday and converted them to tubeless. Here is an updated pic with everything I have changed from stock. Washed it today as it was filthy from an early morning group ride in the rain today.

CAAD 10-5 stock besides:
Specialized Romin Evo Pro
Look Keo 2 Max pedals
Praxis Works 53/39 chainrings (added black bolts)
Elite cages
Fizik Microtex bar tape
PSIMET 50mm clinchers 24/28 CX Rays Novatec hubs
Hutchinson Fusion 3 tubeless
Ultegra 12-23T
Reynolds carbon pads
Garmin 310xt Wahoo Ant+ speed/cadence

I love this bike. It's my first road bike and have had it for a couple months now. Really enjoy riding now.

I got them used so not sure what they run new. I paid $550 shipped with wheel bags and skewers. They are so much stiffer than the stock RS10s. I can't feel them flex at all. Really impressed with them so far. Rode in pouring rain and braking was good with the reynolds pads. I need to get them in some wind to see how they do. Hopefully it's not bad since I am a clyde at 205lbs.

Both Liquigas Caad10s and the Caad9/cosmic look great. I'm officially a caad cult member after taking the Caad10 out for the first time this morning. I had originally planned on a short 15-20 mile loop and to switch to the Noah to meet up with my group. That never happened and eventually turned into a 55 mile ride. I must say, this bike has me impressed as this Caad10 is as responsive as the Noah, and almost didn't feel like I was riding an aluminum frameset.

Does anyone know the setback on the stock C3 seatpost. I am away for the week and want to order a new seatpost.

Either getting the Thomson or Ritchey carbon.

CAAD10 Liquigas Replica

Finally returning to the cult after a 3-month hiatus. My 2011 CAAD10-3 was damaged beyond repair a few months ago, so I got a new CAAD10 frame via Cannondale's crash replacement policy through the LBS. All the undamaged components were swapped over; RD and chain are brand new. After the long wait, here it is. 2012 CAAD10 Liquigas Replica frame with Shimano RS80 wheels.
