Diary tab hmm... I don't have GC here at work but I must have the wrong/older version, I don't rememer seeing that tab.. The only PM tab I have is per-ride, which doesn't make sense to show a ~PMC for each ride anyway.
When I get home I'll see which version I'm on and why the F I can't see this easily. Also when I first loaded my files there were some huge spikes I had to flatten.. I guess WKO does this for you? Get what you pay for I guess.

There's a way to flatten power spikes (Tools -> Fix Power Spikes), although I haven't gotten any of those lately since the last few 500 firmware updates.
I think in v2 they showed the PMC chart in each ride, but it's still not a per-ride chart. They just put it there so it's easy to access.

I did, but I thought the whole point of the feature was to do that for me.. fwiw I had the max set at 1500w but it still didn't fix the 2000w+ spikes.. and it's a pain to find the spikes in each and every file and fix them manually.
This is what I get for using software built buy some kid in their basement I guess.. funny thing is I bought WKO a while back but lost the reg code.. maybe I'll just take the hit and buy it again, so I don't have to deal with these issues.

When iBike first came out I read a lot of scepticism on this forum. Given the current generation of iBike, is it a worthwhile power meter at this point in its development? I ride a road bike, a TT bike, a cyclocross, and a roadbike on a LeMond trainer. I'd like to transfer a power meter easily from bike-to-bike, and am considering an iBike Newton+ (which supposedly works on a trainer).
Also, I currently use a Garmin 705 with hrm, and would like to continue recording that data (I suppose I could always stick it in my jersey pocket on a ride rather than having two devices mounted on the bars). Can the Garmin receive the iBike power data via ANT+ so that its all in one file?
Finally, since the iBike uses wind as factor, is there any way I can determine drag with different positions on my TT bike to determine my most aero position?

Not that I've looked into it, but I still wouldn't trust the iBike.

garmin head unit?
you need to set the head unit to average in zeros for the power numbers. auto pause being on could be the reason for the time differences. later.

Agreed..... my averages are always different in WKO if my ride contains lots of stop lights or a break and I have auto pause on

anybody using Power Balance yet? Trying to decide if it's a worthwhile tool, or just another number to obsess over.

That could be the easier route. Now that I think about it, I don't really need power on the trainer. Does anyone have experience or knowledge of the iBike and its accuracy and reliability?

The speed-power formula on the Kurt Kinetic works just fine for me on the trainer. I guess that doesn't contradict anything you said. I don't enjoy the trainer but I like that it is available to me.

Well, I guess I should say I could do without, and rely on hr and time (and speed from the cadence/speed sensor on the rear wheel) on the trainer, and train with a power meter on the road. I have the LeMond trainer that has a flywheel so it actually coasts, not continuous resistance. Trainers area chore any way you look at them, but I may be using mine more now that were are heading into August here in New Orleans.

Oh I see, I needed to add it by right-clicking then selecting it?! Argh. I wonder what other features are hidden.. also wonder why it's not there by default (like WKO) but maybe there are copyright issues?
Anyway, I see the PMC now - thx!
Also Is there a way to override the TSS for a ride? Couldn't find it..
And in v3 I tried the 'fix spikes' thing and it still says I hit 14,000 watts..

Click on new field and edit it so it reads Metric under "Screen Tab," TSS under "field," and treat it as a double

It's possible in the information (metrics?) tab, but you have to add it as an option in the options menu. It's not intuitive.
*yeah what he said.

Thanks for the help dudes!
Indeed... I went ahead and sprung for wko, I'm back in action! GC is fine, but I think I'm just used to/spoiled by WKO.
Next q: isn't there a WKO plugin to estimate TSS based on HR? (or is it a GC thing?)

Weird, not seeing that.. (for rides that have no power but HR)
I have the latest wko 3.0, build 48.
For instance:
Entire workout (141 bpm):
Duration: 3:11:35 (3:12:28)
Work: n/a
TSS: n/a
Norm Power: n/a
VI: n/a
Pw:HR: n/a
Pa:HR: 13.24%
Distance: 69.364 mi
Elevation Gain: 4240 ft
Elevation Loss: 4195 ft
Grade: 0.0 % (48 ft)
Min Max Avg
Heart Rate: 75 186 141 bpm
Speed: 0 44.1 21.7 mph
Pace 1:22 0:00 2:46 min/mi
Altitude: 1196 2125 1616 ft
Is it usually listed in the TSS row, but as hrTSS?
