Buy what? just Google search the item and find the best price, quite often you will find it's from Germany even after postage is taken into account. CRC while still competitive hasn't been the cheapest place to buy bike parts from in several years.

One consideration Currency Exchange rates .. Euro and UK Pound are costing more than a dollar,
so they cost more , passing through those rate differences ..
In the USA are You? .
have something specific in Mind?

Evans Cycles, which is a chain that does mail order, too. But CRC, Wiggle and SJS are the ones I have used regularly and without issues worth discussing.

For your XTR cranks, would caution getting any old XTR cranks, as XTR often used non-standard BCD's and Bottom Bracket designs which weren't taken forward to any other groupsets, leaving them unsupported for spares, hence they go very cheap once you can no longer get spares for them.

To give you an idea of the issues, have a look at this thread from Singeltrack https://singletrackworld.com/forum/to...chainring-help It's a few years old now, but the issues are still the same. A middle chainring for the M970 is currently £60 at CRC, which in this case is about the cheapest, in your case more than you paid for the complete crank.
Would enjoy the crank till you wear it out, and then replace with a current crank with more supported parts.
