Getting back in the saddle after way too long in an effort to rehab my right hip, so currently using a trainer in the house each day. I’m still a newbie until I hit 10 posts, but I wish I could share the view that I still get to see even though I’m not outside yet. We live in Estes Park on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park and it’s breathtaking. Grateful!

I had to wait till 10:00 am to ride this morning because I had to bring my granddaughter to school. But after that I got out and was able to ride for 22 miles. At 10:00 am the temp was 35 degrees with sunny skies and a light wind. The riding was nice and it was pleasant to be out. This is the second day this week!

Well it's December and I was feeling guilty not getting on the bike for the last 3 days. Plus I'm either 3 pounds heavier than last week or I'm 7 pounds lighter than I was at the end of August.
So I rode the bike and got in 14.8 miles. My OCD must have kicked in because I stopped and dug out my allen wrenches to move my left brake lever an 1/8 inch. Then it felt like to much. So I moved it back a bit. When I got back home I moved it a 3rd time. CRAZY

But I had a good ride. Hope we have blue skies again tomorrow

estes park is beautiful! Was there one day a few summers ago...A week after we visited, there was massive flooding that knocked out the 2 lane road to get there. Like the Shining hotel. Good luck with hip rehab!

ZWIFTed for 2 hours covering 32 fake miles while climbing 2000 fake feet. Watched Netflix for the first 1.5 hours which made it tolerable.

Tell your legs those were 'fake' miles, haha

Another ZWIFT session since it’s time once again for the atmospheric river to bless us and especially the low lying areas. Today’s episode courtesy of Amazon Prime video.

Thank you! ….. It is very beautiful here. Last big flood in was in 2013, especially thru Big Thompson Canyon. Can still see plenty of damage from it tho.

Rode the Tucson Loop today, 56 miles door-to-door, mostly flat. High 81F. Moderate winds for here. Pretty much a perfect day.

Since I am too wimpy to ride in rainy 40* temps, it’s back to the trainer. Have managed 60 miles with 7,500’ climbing in the last few days. Have been sleeping very well.

Over 50 degrees today, just beautiful, so I leisurely paddled around Queens. (Not lazy, it's a Z2 ride! 😜 )
Pictures from Ft Totten and Douglas Manor.

I rode up Mt Lemmon again today. It wasn't planned, but it was too nice a day not to--especially light winds, temps in the low 70s in the city. I turned around at Summerhaven, for 62 miles and 6,400'. I got this photo of a hoodoo, and just noticed the scale is hard to determine. It's really quite small, just a few meters away, but it looks like the road in the distance could be wrapping around the base of a HUGE monolith:

1st day back in training mode. 6th & 7th gears most of the ride. Added a “ponytail” on my Mu (cable clean-up). Have to say good things bout the “Veo strip” thingy on my forehead. Kept most of the sweat out of my eyes but couldn’t account for the sweat glands below the strip. Haleiwa Metric Century ‘24 here I come!
PS: max spd I wish🤪, I know I broke 20mph in sections using 8th!

Thursday night Christmas ride in neighboring town (New Bern) where riders are encouraged to decorate their bikes. Mid to low 30's but the turnout was still good.

Had a clearing of a couple of hours before the rain would resume so got out at 5:23am for a very leisurely 12.21 mile ride The drops began to fall during the last .3 miles so timing was spot on.

Wonderful weather here today. Took the MUP to the brewery after work to get my growler filled. This Cannondale bag was on a bike I bought recently and I thought it a bit too big and bulky for my needs. Turns out it holds a 64 oz growler just fine.

I got out and rode today with my granddaughter who just turned 6 this past Friday. We did 7.5 miles. We have been waiting for riding weather but all we have had is mid 40's with fog and drizzle. Today it cleared up for a while the sun came out and we hopped on our bikes and rode the bike path.
