White Christmas here, at my mom's place in Logan Lake, BC.
Rocking some serious emo as well, as she's in her 70's and I don't know what I'll do to cope with serious personal issues without her. rbart's posts affected me deeply. Pretty teary here right now, and she just came in and saw me and made me even worse with kisses and hugs and reassurances.
Best wishes to everyone in the 33 for a wonderful SAFE winter holiday/Christmas and speedy recoveries to those of you lucky enough to not need to train indoors yet insistent upon crashing outdoors.

I think my dad has just agreed to let me get another bike frame to keep at home. My hope is that i can score a used Ti frame for ~$500 or a new one for $1200 and get S&S couplers later.

Gather up old bike stuff from our basements and sacrifice them on a big bonfire ..... might melt more than burn.

JB, time to shame all of us by creating a new thread. Something along the lines of Weight Loss Tracking 2: Going Offtrack During the Holidays. I'll bet dollars to donuts i'll probably lead quite a few people by gaining 2.6% (4lb) over pre-holiday weight. Good thing is that i won't know the actual amount until i get home...
stole your bike
cheers GA!
The riding in California is great, shame I can't get out there like I used to; do enjoy it so I can live vicariously through you.

Keeping the 33 crashing alive, was enjoying a beautiful day in PA, going downhill, hit a rock then lights out. Woke to my buddy standing over me asking if I was OK. A nice couple drove me to a place where my wife could meet me and take me to the ER. Concussion, sprained wrist and lots O' road rash. Helmet prevented a much worse outcome. I am thankful it wasn't worse and the ER staff had me out in no time. Bike isn't too bad either!
Merry Christmas to those 33ers who celebrate it and Happy Holidays to everyone. Hope 2011 is a great year for us all.

Had a nice 4 hour civil group ride (yes, they exist!) yesterday. Mom arrived just as I was rolling into the driveway. We had a nice dinner, then Sandy and I went to temple. I wanted to go to church for mass later, and do the double religion thing, but was so tired from the hustle and bustle I knew I couldn't make it past midnight and went to bed. Still, it is nice to have the family around for the holiday.
Happy Holidays people. Enjoy your friends and family.
