Love the polished 7402 lever as well. Don’t see those too often.

Hmmm….intrigued but I think the color’s just a bit off. For the record, my Parkpre shows a 7402 hood on a 7401 lever. I plan to order a couple sets of these reproduction hoods in black & white for 7401 and 7402 levers I have on different bikes. I’m really glad you’ve made them available.

top506 your hoods look fantastic--- but that bar wrap! Winter Camo!?! There's no way you can convince me that you ride a DA equipped bike in northern Maine during the winter!

P.S. Time to put that snow thrower in the barn--- or maybe not. I do recall accumulating snow for Memorial Day.

I think bikes of that vintage Require obnoxious bar tape.

Not really. Bikes of that vintage didn’t usually have obnoxious bar tape. White or black usually sufficed.

The hoods I ordered arrived Wednesday, they look great!! Last night I spent some time installing a pair on the Sante levers on my Circuit. I was swapping in a different bar and stem (can't do the Cinelli Giro d'Italia), so of course I took the levers off the bar. Taking the old hoods off proved harder than putting the new ones on! I installed them from the back of the lever as recommended by the seller, and they went on with the usual tugging and pushing, and they fit perfectly!!

I was going to finish up the job, take some pics, and have the bike ready for Saturday's Monthly C&V ride, but as I as tightening the pinch bolt on the rear brake, the bolt just spun. Threads are stripped! This is the sort of thing that can happen with old bikes, I guess - you sometimes find yourself victim of someone else's ham-handed work!

Anyway, I'll wrap the bars tonight, and get some pics - they look great!!!

Awesome! I love that they fit so perfectly. Sorry that your bolt stripped. I'm sure you can find a replacement.

The gentleman from Poland is providing the cycling hobby, and C&V in particular, a great service. This has been an unfilled niche for far too long.

Indeed! I have passed on any number of bikes on FB Marketplace or Craigs List because the hoods were degraded, or had been replaced with generic or wrong hoods. I knew that getting replacements would be difficult, expensive, or impossible!

And no more talcum powder treatment to try and eke a few more years out of sticky hoods!!!
