Going up Lilac road for the first time (of four)... on lap three I got dropped. Not too many smiling faces in this one. I think I was still monitoring power and heart rate up the climb at this point but soon switched screens because I got scared.

nice, they're a popular shop and master's team around here, and sponsor of the San Diego Bicycle Club.

I know I'm stretching a little, it's kinda a road bike race.

I dunno @Racer Ex, are you actually suffering? Looks more like you are musing.
I thought I posted this photo? Maybe it was somewhere else.
Tall guys throw bikes farther than short guys. I have come in 2nd to this dude a bunch of times.

this is 20 miles into a 2-man break, about 30 miles into the race. Guy on my right held on and won from a recombinated break at the end. I got popped from the break but held off the field for 5th.
I'm officially too fat for this sport when I get dropped from a break.

From the Crit last weekend. That's me with my head down, pretty much in the middle of the race. Corner 1 to corner two was this big uphill sweep that pushed out into a long drag to corner three. If you weren't smooth coming out of corner two it really hurt trying to get back on the pedals and get back in.

From the Ontario Mid-Season Crit E3/4 - there was a guy off the front, I went solo with I think 5 laps to go to try to catch him or at least get 2nd, but got caught at the start of the last lap ;o;

She has some really cool photos from the P123 race in the rain too, in the same FB photo album. She didn't photograph the masters tho
... heh we're in "massive image makes submit-reply button vanish offscreen right" mode again in this thread. Whatever.

Photo teammate took at dash for cash yesterday. I think this was trying to bridge to 2 guys up the road, but my legs were more tired than I realized and I didn't make it.
Better position than hoods it seems. I still don't know how to post an image to this forum lol. Is there any way to attach an image, or would I have to sign up for some photo storing website?

Being in-itself and Being for-itself were of Being; and this totality of beings, in which they were effected, itself was linked up to itself, relating and appearing to itself, by means of the essential project of human-reality. What was named in this way, in an allegedly neutral and undetermined way, was nothing other than the metaphysical unity of man and God, the relation of man to God, the project of becoming God as the project constituting human-reality. Atheism changes nothing in this fundamental structure. Every discourse, even a poetic or oracular sentence, carries with it a system of rules for producing analogous things and thus an outline of methodology. The circle of the return to birth can only remain open, but this is a chance, a sign of life, and a wound.

I never knew you were so given to purple prose, GC. What would you categorize that as, Rococo Human Sciences?
@aaronmcd, surely you must realize google photos is an online photo storage website?
Hint, resize your image to BF friendly proportions and follow this.

Edit: Oh hey, I still have the option to upload a file but only if I'm on desktop.

On the far right after doing about 2-3 seconds soft pedaling because sick + not fit. This was the 51st hour of riding this year and probably the 3rd hard hour of those 51.
Didn't even throw bike. I did get 3rd in the sprint although it doesn't look like it in the picture. The guy in orange/black on the far left is a former Cat 1, best placed normal amateur in a long ago Boston Mayor's Cup race (placed something like 10th behind Davis Phinney and a slew of newly minted pros, Leonard Nitz was technically an amateur and beat him in that race). He got 5th in the field. The guy in black was a 2 for probably 20 years, he got 4th in the field.
I'd drawn even with the guy in orange during the sprint (7? sec to go) but my legs failed and he beat me.
I still have some speed in my legs although my jump is much weaker than even 5 years ago, I think because of lack of training - I was pretty spent going into the sprint. Started the sprint pretty far back from the front due to a gap opening up in the last turn, this is about 20 seconds from the line. It took me 7-8 seconds to close the gap in front of me.
