What bar shape do you use for fixed road riding?

Hopefully I've covered the available options. I didn't include variations for material (steel/aluminum/carbon) or for width of bars (except for cutoff option for flat bars). Feel free to specify width and material in posts if you think it's pertinent.

uh... track drop shape? 37-38 width cuz I'm skinny and thats the appropriate width for me. Steel on both, but aluminum has its upsides. There was a thread about aluminum vs steel a few weeks ago, might be worth searching.

Steel slight-rise flats, chopped down a few inches. Best bar setup I've used so far.

Steel track drops with a moderate drop stem. My new build will have bullhorns. I like both but am a little partial to drops.

My Milwaukee came with a set of Nitto Noodle bars. Pretty comfortable, and they are the same as the ones on my Soma Doublecross geared all-rounder. I wanted to try something else though so I bought a set of the Nitto 021 bullhorns. Only used them for a few days, wasn't able to get comfortable on them (onetwentyeight has them now). Bought a set of the Profile Design Stoker 26 bars. Was more comfortable on those, but somewhere along the line I also switched stems to a lower one.

My wrists started killing me. So now I have gone back to a +6 degree stem and the Nitto Noodle bars again. I don't like the look as much, but my wrists feel much better, and that's more important to me than the look.

I have never tried track drops. I like the way they look, but I'm too old for the contorted position they put you into.

90% of the time I ride on Nitto 019 bullhorns with ergo drop (not on the shoulders, but the extensions), 8% of the time I ride on Deda Pista drops at the track the other 2% of the time I'll throw on a pair of aerobars for ****s and giggles

I'm riding what my LBS told me were "touring" bars. They're SR (matches my stem, hooray for anal-retentiveness), and they look like regular drop bars. But about two inches out of the stem on either side, they bend up just a hair, making the ends of the drops stick out at a bit of an angle.

They're cool, I really dig 'em.

those are 'randonneur' bars and they are indeed sweet, and they make the best flop and chops (debatably).

I've three road fixes, One with road drops (nitto noodle bars...best bar ever, and the one I voted for since I ride it the most) one with chop'n'flops, and one that you missed: cruiser bars. I use Nitto Promenades. Classic English 3-speed preacher bar shape, but made from Aluminum by Nitto, so you know it's good.

Bontrager Cyclocross bars, with ergo drops. Wide, stiff, bulletproof.

Now that I said that, they're gonna break on me today.

Profile time trial bullhorns right now, but I think I'm going back to road drops with the wind we've got here.

last fall i saw a messenger on a langster with some sweet chopper bars. dude was flipping skids all over the place, dunno if it was because of the better leverage or if he was just good like that.

Profile Airwing right now. I have some road drops, but I'd want a longer stem before I try them. I'd rock the inverted 3 speed bars with yet another stem if I had one handy.
