Cannondale Bad Boy "King James"

Total noob here....1st post. Howdy!

Anyhow, just got my first MTB...a Cannondale Bad Boy, King James edition. As I understand, it's a rather limited bike (I couldn't find a thing about it online), so here's a pic just in case any of you wondered what "King James" looks like.

Nice forum here....I'll certainly be a regular visitor

Take care!

Aaron

Nice. Something they made to celebrate Lebron James buying part of Cannondale...?

Not often you see a 5 arm crankset on a new nonroad bike...

So I understand, yes. I don't know how many were made or how to get one (mine came from a bike shop manager)....all I know is it fits me well and the ride is superior for my needs.

Not all the components are stock, crankset included. The bike was tricked-out pretty well, but I opted to put most of the original equipment back on. I'm going to get a set of road wheels and that'll be all I'll need.

I presume you mean slicks or more road-friendly tires, not wheels.

WHEELS is what I mean. I want a set of 29'rs similar to the ones that came off of it. It'll handle em', so I may as well take advantage of the flexibility.

I gave $900. Not sure what retail would be. I got it used, so I'd like to think I saved a little. I put the Bontrager pedals and bar ends on the bike along with a few other miscellaneous parts, so I guess in total I'm sitting around 1000-1100.

It fits well and the ride is sweet....it's all I'll need for a LOOONG time.

That Bad Boy is a cool bike, no doubt. I wish they still sold them with 26 inchers.

Thanks! I kinda like it as well...

Having only been around BMX bikes, this thing is all new to me. This is the first bike I've had in years, so I expect to have oodles of fun with it.
