11s crank on 10s Chain?
I am looking to switch over to an Ultegra compact crank on my bike. In looking around it is hard to find a shimano 10 speed crank anymore. Lots of 11 speed though. Any reason why I can't use the 6800 crank with 10 speed chain?
Thanks in advance

Some cranks are actually labelled 10/11 for use either way. For example FSA's K-Force Light. That suggests to me that the differences between the two are slmost non-existent.

I have had absolutely no problems using 11 speed 105 cranks on two bikes with 10 speed drive trains.
10 speed cranks are getting harder to find and when you do find them they usually end up more expensive than the 11 speed cranks.
As I understand it the internal width of the two chains are the same, only the external width varies with the 11 speed being slightly narrower (5.4mm for 11speed versus 5.9mm for 10 speed).

Yes that is what I found and really prompted the original question. However, I was able to find a 10 speed Ultegra crank on Wiggle for a competitive price ($154) and have ordered that.
