Silver Comet questions
1. Where is the best place to stay in Rockmart? The Polk Motel? The Ecno Lodge?
2. If Ecnolodge Is there an easy and safe way to get there. One with less traffic.
3. How many miles between Smyrna,Ga. and Rockmart GA. on the trail?
We have friends who will be biking with us and are new to biking so I guessing that during the week the trail is less crowded.
4. I see that parking 2 vehicles in the Publix parking lot has worked out for many but is there a safer place to leave vehicles for overnight?

If you're on Facebook there's an active Silver Comet/Chief Ladiga group, and I think maybe also one dedicated to the Comet only. I expect participants there will have ready quick responses to your questions. I'm more familiar with the Ladiga end, so can't really help out.

I used the below link for my trip planning and stayed in the Econo Lodge in Rockport. If I was to go again I would stay in the Cedartown Econo Lodge. Much nicer hotel and town.
