Ribble Endurance SL disc sport
I was looking for an endurance bike. Trek Domane in my size completely out. Canyon cf sl7 also completely out. I found ribble online and looked at their models. The Endurance sl disc sport was really reasonably priced under $3000 with carbon wheels and 105 mechanical.
I have a couple hundred miles on it. It started out a little heav so I added carbon bars and tubless tires. First time ever mounting tubless!

First time for both Carbon wheels and tubless tires. I really like the combo. Really smooth riding!

Not even 4 miles this morning and I felt like I was gonna die. Getting in riding shape is going to be a long road (pun not intended). Maybe 150 miles was a little unrealistic.

I will join the parade of excuses we started out with this month. Work had me in Springfield, MO last week, so got off to a slow start this month. I'll shoot for 250 miles.

I just got back on the bike after being off of it for the entire pandemic, insert work, family and other excuses here. When I got back on I started on my touring bike because I didn't want to put my 318 pounds plus kit onto my carbon fiber bike. Got down to 300 pretty quick combining diet and 5 mile average rides and jumped back on my Giant cf bike. Got all the family bikes tuned up and remembered that I love not only riding but working on them as well and built up a frame I had laying around. Then I saw a fantastic frame for sale and went for it and built it up how I wanted.
Anyway by the end of this week I'll be at least 30 pounds down from where I started and have a great bike to continue the journey on. Last time I was able to lose 80 pounds through diet and regular cycling with 15 miles being a light day and 30+ mile rides when time and weather permitted.
You can do it just be patient with yourself and never give up!
Oh and the bike I built up.

Started working from home 9 years ago and have not been on the bike much since..., especially in the last four years. Took my Trek 7.2fx (2010) into the shop to be tuned up and started riding again on August 1, 2022. Taking it slow and just riding the bike paths in our area. 52 years old in a month, waaaaaaay overweight (5'7", 248lbs), I cannot remember the last time my weight started with a 1...that is the goal, back to onederland.

Not a fun ride tonight. Hot and humid, heat index in the 90's. When I got to the 9 mile mark (where I usually turn around) I realized I had forgotten both my water bottles. Chalk it up to a change in my routine. Yesterday I had the bike on a stand to clean and lube the chain, but I didn't ride because we had thunderstorms rolling through. I had forgotten the bike was on the stand, so when I got to the garage tonight I had to take it down, set it outside, and put the stand away. I had set the bottles down when I did this, and totally forgot to go back and grab them before I rode away. I also need to remember to keep a few dollars in my tool bag. I could have bought something to drink along the way, but I had no way to pay for anything.

Well, I guess I needed those two days off, and man, did I ever feel better this afternoon. I can see that regular rest days (1 to 2 days a week) are definitely going to be needed for a while.

What a difference a day makes. Heat index in the 90's last night, tonight it was 71F. Bit windier than I like though. But I'll take it.
