Etiquette 3.0
Do you mention what I will call "wardrobe malfunctions" to other cyclists when you see them? I am talking about things like arm warmers with sleeveless jerseys, helmets on backwards, badly worn shorts revealing butt crack, leg and/or arm warmers worn over the ends of shorts and/or jerseys, blinding high beams (women). Personally, I think I would like to be informed should something ever be amiss.

Do you mention every issue you have with other people when you pass them on a sidewalk, or in a mall or supermarket?
Good troll thread, IndyFabz. I think this might get three pages.

When I see sunglasses under the helmet straps, I usually warn the rider. Accident waiting to happen.

Nah, thsoe folks don;t bother me. I just loudly comment on something being small while pointing at the crotch of every Lance wannabe who walks into a coffee shop or a bar with their parts on display for the world to see.
Oh wait, are we being serious?

Humour, let alone irony, is in short supply round here.
I see that you are doing your bit in the current Cat 6 racing thread -- sorry, I meant 'wheelsuckers' thread, aka "Etiquette 2.0". Serious business, this bikecycle riding.

I'm pretty tolerant, but the line has to be drawn somewhere. For me is sleeveless jerseys.

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly. Especially when the chap has really hairy upper arms and back. They remind me of wife beater t-shirts. And I don't like them on women either. Especially when her biceps are bigger than mine.

Some of you are SOOOOOOO cynical. I am being serious.
Even I am not above one of the things mentioned in my OP. On the first day of my first Cycle Oregon a woman passed me and something like "You must have had those shorts for a long time." She was right, but how in the world could she have known that? After maybe 60 seconds of wondering, it hit me. At the end of the day's ride I checked the shorts. Into the trash they went.
This summer I told a complete stranger that it was time for a new pair of shorts. He was very appreciative. And even with the locking mechanisms on more modern helmets, I still see people wearing helmets backwards. I always say something when I do.
Never had the guts to comment on high beams. One woman who used to ride with my club had a serious "issue" with that. Years later I overheard her say that she doesn't wear a bra when she rides.

Oh.
If it is fashionable to comment on people's style of dress, maybe I'll actually start doing what I suggested.
Don't worry, I judge you warm weather people who ride sleeves when hot, when you're bundled up in multiple layers at 60F, and I'm just starting to consider the long sleeve options!

I did see a guy who had his straight handlebars mounted backwards, I did mention it but he said he preferred them that way. I didn't press it, because his bike, his ride.

I saw a rather nice looking chick on the bike with pretty revealing shorts on. I passed her and all I could think about was plumbers crack so it was an unpleasant experience. I didn't say anything figuring some other rider would appreciate the view!
Honestly, she had to know her whole arse was showing.

I do make fun of my friends for the glasses under the straps. I'll admit that.
It just looks goofy and sets off my OCD. Now they do it to piss me off.
