New BBS02 kit no power

just finished installing battery powers up.no power to the display or anything else. I powered up the first time for a second. then nothing. any ideas

Usual first step; check the connections. Mine seems to be sensitive to anything but the most complete electrical contact.

Make sure you hold the button down until the display lights up when turning it on (if you don't already know that), then let up. Hold down to turn off as well.

lol I didn't know this at first when I built mine, and freaked out for a bit wondering why it didn't work. Then I found out you have to hold down the button to turn it on.
