1980's Cinelli Super Corsa in Black w/ Campy
Looking to purchase. Listing says '86 but i cant find a black frame from that year. I'm not as fluent in Cinelli to be honest so an assist would be appreciated. Here are the photos I have. Its mainly campy components based on photos/listing. What isnt original if anything?
A approximate value for this as is would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If the paint is original and in decent condition. Maybe 1400 bucks. I would pay up to 1500 if the component gruppo is more complete Campy/Cinelli (Campy Super Record and Cinelli 1R, preferrably) and in VGC and no paint damage. Up to 1800 to 2K+ for a totally mint example with very few miles on it and no wear on the components.
I think these 80's Cinellis are in the current sweet spot for the brand, period-wise for Cinelli fans/collectors. Later Cinellis from the 90's and 2000's a bit less.... JMOs

...if you check out some of the old catalogs for Cinelli from the 80's, youi'll see that they were sold as frames as well as complete bikes.
Most of the ones sold as frames you see got built up with whatever Campagnolo Record or Super Record was contemporary. At least that's my impression of the ones I've seen.
Those shifters are an unfortunate choice.1982 catalog link

Looks nicely maintained. Somewhat interesting mix of Nuovo record and Super record. Not a fan of the shifters, but that's easily rectified.
Brakeset appears to be early script Super Record. Shimano pads up front probably work really well but should be replaced with genuine Campagnolo holders.
Somebody spent some time polishing those Record hubs and keeping them shiny.
I'd say that's a $1200 bike all day.

...I'm surprised at all the attention about the non-Cinelli stem, but the saddle gets a pass.
If you're gonna go full Cinelli, then the saddle is also something you might want to consider replacing.
But I've never been a matchy matchy kind of guy, so a lot of what I ride elicits pity from the cognoscenti.

Banned.
The serial number will tell you the year on that Cinelli. It is missing the little 'C" buttons on the seatstay. They are pricey for what they are.
It's likely 1984-86, by the seat tube decals.

Use the missing buttons as a negotiating point to get the price down a litle. People charge $50 for them on eBay but you can get them for $17 from the Cinelli store. The shipping is expensive but you even it out by getting stuff like hats and shirts.

The seatpost resembles the 1970s manufactured Weyless. See the VeloBase entry here:
