Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Actually I probably would not get one of those because any new car MUST fit the Habanero in the back. Mini and Miata likely fail that test.

I was actually able to put TWO bikes in the Dodge once, though it was a tight squeeze. Another rider, 12 miles from home, suffering from heat and overexertion. We had to talk him into letting me drive him home. "Oh, I'll be fine. I'm just feeling lightheaded and nauseous and neither food nor drink is making that better."

I was asked to drive a drunk guy in a friend's car after the Texas Rangers opening day some years ago. Offered to drive him home, but he insisted on being taken to his car in Fort Worth that was parked by mine at my friend's office. Got to his car, and he was passed out in the back seat and could not be wakened. Ended up leaving him there.

Every closet is a walk-in closet, if you try hard enough.

I hated my truck's manual when I lived in Illinois and drove a lot more, especially in traffic.

Here where I'm in the mountains fairly regularly, I've come to like it a lot more. I also don't drive it much anymore, which helps.

I'm trying to shed the 10 pounds I gained since DST ended, and the Food Holidays began. Now I'm remembering the unpleasant part of losing weight - feeling hungry.

That's a very broad category.

I wouldn't equate failing to ask for instructions with driving a car while intoxicated.

I've managed to make Mrs. GJ afraid of the awesome power of the Dodge, which is nice because then I never have to re-adjust the seat and mirrors. She liked driving the Subaru, and every time she did, I'd spend the next several days trying to recreate the seat position etc. it had been before, while never being certain that I was able to.

As I understand it, Standard Poodles are bouncy, fun dogs whose owners make them look like snotty sophisticates. You gotta wonder if they notice or care.
