Obligatory garage door photo. First real ride on it today - my standard 21 mile out and back just to shake it down. Any regrets flew out the window.

Very nice!!!! I love the color (blue)..... Red on the wheels throws off the color scheme though. I wonder if you can remove the sticker labels on them.

Always nice when the first ride confirms that the decision was right instead of wrong. Congrats!

The Pinarello fits the taillight much better. Honestly that other bike looked great but the lack of electronic shifting and disc brakes renders it utterly useless. You made the right call! Have fun!

The color was the final selling point. I'm a sucker for blue. See the Ridley above, and my old Orbea is blue. They had a bright red one size up; IMHO, this color is gorgeous and a little different. But I'm biased as I bought the damn thing.

The test ride was enough to sell me on Di2. New 105 stuff is very nice, but I do have to fiddle with it to keep it running right.

I've had 3 generations of Ultegra (8, 9 and 10 speed) over 20 years and 1 of 105 (11 spd). I love the 105, but it is not perfect (not that Di2 is). 105 is fantastic; so far I like di2 more. If I have issues, I may change my mind. FWIW, I do most work myself.

Everyone that I have asked that switched to e-shifting love it. When I ask was it worth it. They all said yes, even though plenty of times the battery died and there where stuck in one gear. lol
None of them want to go back to manual shifting.
I am afraid to test drive one of these bikes.

Edit to add: I'm also a bigger fan of disk brakes than I was expecting. I had a damp ride yesterday (not actively pouring). While I've never had major issues adjusting to the wet with rim brakes, yesterday reaffirmed my confidence in disks.
This is a great idea. I use the internal Strava features to track tires / chain / etc. I didn't think about adding shifters (and Power Meter) for that matter. I do remember to check the battery level on my PM weekly just in case; the shifters will last much, much longer than it does.

That is a really nice bike! Color is great. Enjoy!
Where do you ride? If you hear some stranger shout your name, it may be me wanting to check it out. 😜

Mainly west Fort Worth - a little on the trail, but mainly points west (I live far enough out from the city center to hit country roads). Occasional forays up near TMS / Justin.

May not happen then. We typically ride the country roads west of Mansfield or River Legacy. But, you never know.

And happy Thanksgiving to you!
The last two days I've been confined to the Peloton due to work / Thanksgiving cooking... hoping to get out tomorrow.

plenty of comments already, but you don't need it. I recently spent far too much on my road bike and wish instead I got something if your caliber (but rather, quite frankly a lugged 80's frameset). when it comes down to it, if it makes you happy to ride it, look at it, and work on it then it's a keeper and you need not replace... just merely...add.
