Still need to add fenders and replace the clashing brass bell, may replace the pedals if I can ever scrounge up another pair of M730s, but it's pretty much how I want it. I've been pleasantly suprised by the feel of the Cardiff saddle, too.

That Maruishi rings my bell, been looking for another one that better suits my size/proportions.

Just finished hot rodding this old Sekai 2000 . Finish weight 25.41 lbs. Not bad for a frame that weighed 7 lbs.

This is my giant pink baby. I built her up from the frame at a bike co-op--I happened to be working on another bike when somebody walked in and donated it. My friends and I mostly give our bikes proper names, but this one has never been called anything but "The Pink Bike".
1987 (I think) Ross Centaur - 62cm, with a teal Brooks Colt saddle that is still hard as a freaking rock after 4 years.

Circa 1987 frame so I believe. Was originally a much deeper pink but faded as it sat in the sun over many years (travel). I’m the original owner, bought the frame in 1992. Built it up using parts I could afford at the time. Gave it to a friend for safekeeping in 2002. Got it back about a year ago, stripped the parts, cleaned it up and rebuilt using ‘92 (or so) 8spd Chorus and my spare Industry 9 modern wheels.

1983 Colnago Nuovo Mexico. Yes, I had two at one point; this one came to me as a frame/fork and was the last bike purchase I made before leaving London in December '95. Originally Sarroni red and missing decals, I had it refinished in pink with black-with-white-keyline decals. The flutes were all filled in pink (this may have been the first bike I used this treatment on) and for a long time it wore most of a Campy 50th Anniversary gruppo (the RD was broken by a mechanic named Karl at Evans Cycles in Waterloo).
Photo was taken during one of my Seattle area vacations - I was stationed in Hawaii at the time and would fly over for 2 weeks every summer with a bike and just ride around all day, every day, for the whole vacation. Those were some good ol' days...

The red Univega found a new home last week, and already has a rode tour planned for next weekend. The buyer had to have red, red, red, nothing but the red would do, even if it was to small for him, only the red would do.
