Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yellowstone, Tetons, Bighorn National Forest -- go ride there

I actually completed this road trip about a month ago and finally found some time to download tons o'pics from my digicam. Looking at them today, after being put back into the meatgrinder/rat race for the past few weeks made me even more grateful that I managed to find the time this year for a great bunch of rides.

The roads throughout this area are great and, for the most part, traffic was sparse and courteous.

I didn't actually ride through Bighorn National Forest on bike, just via car on the ride back to Denver. It's desolate, beautiful, has (what MUST be) a killer climb and is now on my "to ride list".

These pics are in no particular order or sequence, but they're just to give you an idea of all the serene riding atmosphere this par of the world provides.
