The PX10 never had a real leather saddle. The Ideale 2001 was thin leather stretched over plastic. I think the claimed weight was 21.5 lbs, but that was with silk tubulars and probably their smallest frame. Those Suntour Barcons aren't light, even with the covers removed. The NR triple adds some weight, too.
The only thing I may change is the wheels. I'd like to go back to tubulars and high flange hubs. It has 27" wheels now and the front pads are just about all the way down, so I'll have to go back to Mafac Competitions. It never ends

It truly never ends...
I have been looking through catalogues to get a positive ID on my beloved Pug and think that she is a rather uncommon UJ10 as this is the only sub 21 inch frame I could find in the '74 catalogues, the parts spec was correct, the pump pegs are in the right place, and the frame angles match up as they are a little steeper than the UO and AE models and their variants.
She also has a lugless bb and Bocama lugs which are a little prettier and probably special made for the smaller frame.
With 12 inches of bb clearance you still need to have an inseam of 32 inches to stand over the bike.
Wanna guess her weight ?
The only stock parts are the frame, fork, and seatpost.

The Harbor Freight scale is only $12.99, $20 delivered. You never know what you're going to get there, though. Some of their stuff is ok if you don't have to use it every day, some of it is, well......
With a weight limit of 45 lbs it will weigh my Santana tandem, and even a Varsity if one ever follows me home.

Dirtdrop - You really need to go back to tubulars on that PX-10. Weighing over 24 pounds... why that's scandalous!!

I bid $150 for a pair of used (not NOS!) Mavic Module E's on the 'Bay and still lost.
I remember Chris at Velo-Orange mentioning something about bringing in some single-walled polished box section rims but there didn't seem to be much enthusiasm for them so I doubt he'll do it.

Interesting, I see the Twin Hollow and the Glider which seem to be new. Then again, the Glider is gimungous at 26mm width and the Twin Hollow is medium width at 22mm. And 540g!
We need one that is something like 13mm inside/20mm outside and 500g max. 450g would be better. And polished! That dull anodized aluminum just don't get it.
I'm particularly found of the Super Champion Gentleman, 498g in 27". If somebody could make a copy of that in 700C I'd buy a few pairs. And that would take a light 700x23 tire with no problem.

I was thinking of the Velocity Razor... dw, box section, and eyeletted.
They are also 20mm and weigh 450 grams.

Yeah those are decent. Not quite box section but useable. But I don't think they come in a polished finished. There is a place in Australia that sells polished Razors.

Those are Super Champions on the PX10. The hubs are Maillard 700 and the spokes are Robergel Three Stars.
I wish I could find some more rims like the ones on my Gitane. They're Mavics and are labled simply MA. They're polished and then clear anodized, so they're easy to live with. I like the Mavic 501 hubs on that wheelset, too.

You gonna eat that?
I posted this bad boy a few days ago after weighing him. For anyone who didn't see the first thread, what do you think this bike weighs (including baskets)?

I'll guess 35. Might get more guesses with a fresh thread though.
