I don't belong here in C&V (well, I'm vintage but I know nothing about bikes) but I do have a tiny Terry Despatch I bought on Craigslist. I don't know the exact size, but it is too small for me and I'm only 5'2"!

Why not? It never hurts, this way we could have a comprehensive album of little C&V's!

Hmm - looks like a Rensho Allez too, no less, with that fork crown.

Apparently not although the Rensho does have what looks like the same fork. The mark of the Yoshi Konno-made Allez was the 'allez' on the seat stay eye rather than the Specialized 'S'.

Centurion Le Mans - 44 cm frame - 650b wheels

This is my little sister's new road bike... she is all of five feet tall and still just makes the stand over height on this frame.

My Pug is a UJ10 with a 19 inch frame and nearly 12 inches of clearance at the bb... with a longer stem it is a very comfortable ride despite being an inch "too small" for me but I can't imagine anyone shorter than me riding this bike as you need to have a 32 inch in seam to stand over it.

I usually ride 20-22 inch road frames.

Interesting. Rensho-made fork from overstock stuck in one of the later frames, perhaps?

Yes, perhaps. It's always struck me how often the historical details of the manufacture of vintage bikes are so unclear.

What I understand, from when all this was mulled over in this forum when we got the bike, the 3Rensho Allez was the 1st in the line and my girlfriend's was the 2nd version. It, too, seems to be made in Japan with SR stem, bars and seatpost, Shimano BB, drop-outs, headset and cable guide braze-ons with all the rest being Campag NR. Can't remember what the hubs and BB shell are.

Despite all that, this one looks to me identical to the 3Rensho version in that album with the exception of the seat stay eyes. Maybe 3Rensho ran off a few with the S before production was shifted elsewhere...

We can build them small - how about a Tommasini Tecno or Sintesi?

A Sintesi. No question about it. Sadly, I - for one - make $88 a week now... If I invest every dollar of my pay into a saving for the next half a year, I could afford one of these gorgeous frames.

Unfortunately-

Half my pay goes to school, and half the remainder into staying fed and alive. So... I'd need two years of saving for a Tommasini.

And then the componets, too. Sadly, it's impossible, although I apprecieate the offer.

On the other hand, if I paid the shipping, and you mailed one my way, I'd build it up and ride to to all the LBS' in my county, and get them to start buying and selling your bikes. (mostly kidding)

Short of that (pun unintentional), here is my little bike:

Too bad it's pink and I'm a boy.
But, to be said in it's favor, it has a triple in front which makes it great for riding in the mountains on dirt roads.

Anyway, I didn't mean to come off as sarcastic about the Tommasini, I'm sorry if I did. But yeah, if you sent me one to try, my brand loyalty would jump off the charts and I'd be your salesperson.

Ok, here goes:

1986 Colnago Master

1972 Schwinn Paramount

197? Motobécane Grand Jubilé mixte

1978 Richard Sachs

1983 Nishiki International

1987 Nishiki Prestige

My 1987 Centurion Dave Scott Ironman Expert, and Mr. East Hill's Schwinn LeTour

Bianchi Strada frame

I also have a Fuji Thrill mountain bike, but the seat bag is currently being used by a Bewick's Wren as a nest! So, I don't want to disturb her by taking a photo...

I'm 5'6-5'7 depending on the day it seems, but I'm starting to find I really prefer a 49-50 CM bike.

What's your inseam? I mean, it seems like that would be on the "too small" side of things, because at 5'6" if your legs fitted, the top tube would be too short.

If your torso was 49cm size torso short, than the seat tube would be too small.

Aren't your knees uncomfortable?

I'm not trying to criticize you, (I respect you) I am just curious.
