I rarely do this but.......

Once, MAYBE twice a year I pull the rear wheel off and throw the carbon disc on....

Living the dream just for a few miles.....Of what it must have been like to be an elite cyclist/Time Trialist in the 80's..... Kind of like Snoopy when he goes into one of his Red Baron fantasies....

I haven't given an update on the '84 Nova Special X in a while, so I thought I'd share with ya's......... Little Kid's love the bike when it's configured like this and I tend to get the "Ooooh's" and "Ahhh's"..... If they only knew how much a carbon fiber disc sucks when compared to a vintage Campy Record, Dura Ace or Superbe Pro set....

That is all.......

Great to hear from you PB!

Yes Sir... no crosswinds and we have very lovely early autumn weather here in Denver this week.... It's been a perfect riding week except for the smoke that the Jetstream is blowing over the Rockies from CA.....

The carbon fiber "Whirrr, whirrr, whirrr..." sounded very nice..... But you sure do feel EVERY SINGLE BUMP/VIBRATION on one of these suckers.....

A fun match for a fine racing bike! Always loved the color scheme of your Serotta.

Ablaut and Javal,Thanks for the nice compliments.... I am a bit of a smart*ss when it comes to parking myself on the rear wheel of certain carbon fiber machines at higher speeds.
I'm sure that many of you have experienced the major surprise some rider's get to learn how well a vintage steel bike can keep up w/ their newer bikes....

Whew, what a relief. For a minute there I was afraid this might have had that, "Except for that one time back in college" qualifier.

That's one sweet ride BW!
