(For some reason I put my original request elsewhere first).

ISO Good+ MTB square taper crankarms, 170/175mm, 104BCD, to single speed mod my '95 Trek 800 Sport. A good, useable 30 tooth, 104BCD chainring as well. Preferably black, but they don't need to be too pretty. Hopefully for postage, but I do have a pair of, like new, basic Shimano 9 speed trigger shifters (3/9) I can trade.

Thanks, in advance 😊

DG

Got a very decent set of 6403’s right here. Pics shortly.
If you want ‘em, I’ll just send them along and we can figure out something later.
Seems like you often post interesting stuff and we’ve certainly done more than a little business…

Here you go. Got these as part of a group deal, haven't even cleaned them up yet.
Hoods are good, trim is solid. Some abrasion on the levers but not bad, could be easily sanded down and touched up:

I have no business looking about for another project, but it just dawned on me that I have the perfect hub for another small-wheel restomod - so a Moulton Mk I/II frameset might be of interest. No III's, please.

Wanted / ISO 50T (or more) Stronglight 122 BCD chainring in worn-out / unusable condition for a project. I plan to grind the teeth off it, and I don't want to ruin (or pay for) anything useable. Don't care too much about the number of teeth, 50 and up should be fine.

Please let me know what you have and how much you want for it, shipped to USA 27540.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike, I have this fairly chewed up Stronglight 52t ring. Yours for the cost of mailing. Let me know if it’ll do.

Looking for some brake lever clamps that would work with my Mafac levers and would fit 24.2 mm diameter Cinelli handlebars. The clamps I have are for smaller diameter bars. I'm not sure whether the clamps from brakes other than Mafacs can be used, perhaps someone else knows?

Have all sorts of random stuff for trade.

Thanks in advance!

I picked these up for chasing, which they've done well, but not sure I'd use a cheap tap for a French conversion (although risks would be... to the tap itself getting worn? not sure)

Hmmm, reading some of the reviews about the taps snapping makes me think I ought to avoid them..

ISO: rear hub, 135mm qr, 8+ speed cassette; 9sp barend shift lever

Looking for a rear hub to replace a damaged Deore LX Parallax 32 hole 8 speed. Another parallax would be ideal but something similar in good useable shape would work. Have various items to trade including a Chris King Classic 32h front hub (would have to be similar value), silver Deore DX 32h front hub, various vintage road derailleurs/caliper brakes… let me know if you’re looking for anything particular.

Also looking for 9 speed shimano bar end or down tube shifters (or single right side), or microshift equivalent as long as it’s friction capable.

Sorry if I missed these details.
How many holes does your Deore LX Parallax 8 speed have?
Color?
Spacing?

Unless your Stronglight cranks are steel I don't think you have to worry about snapping.

Sorry, forgot to mention i need a 32 hole hub, 135mm spacing. Damaged hub is black, I’d like to replace it with something black but not totally necessary.

I think the topic of proper cottered spindle lengths might deserve its own (anorakish) thread. I have an Automoto frame which came to me with bottom bracket cups but no spindle (well, it came with a square taper spindle that was entirely inappropriate for the cups) and face similar problems. I am used to thinking of square taper spindles and their lengths, but such spindles don't extend all the way to the outer edges of the crank arms. It seems to me that all else being equal, cottered spindles will generally be substantially longer than their square taper cousins to get a similar chainline. But how much longer? 10mm? More?

Also, more often than not, most cottered cranks are steel and have thinner arms, so that likely needs to be considered as well. I think. So perhaps not as big a difference as one would think?

126 28h hub

Hi, I'm looking for a 28 hole, 126 spaced Hi-E rear hub. I know that might be tricky, so if anyone has another rare/interesting lightweight option that fits those parameters, let me know. Thanks!

I have a couple incomplete spares sitting in the bin, assuming this is the one you're looking for. What parts do you need? I can try and check what's there tonight.

I’m learning quite a lot about this topic lately and it is a massive rabbit hole. French and Italian spindles are nominally 15.9mm but there is the issue of BB width. Unequal lengths on DS and NDS, large variances in overall width, it’s endless. This could be made a sticky that could become very convoluted.

I'm piggy-backing on this request cause have been looking/asking for a cable barrel/spring for some time now with no results. This is to complete a Veloce (around '93) RD so used a barrel with the "shaped" end rather than the ridged end as shown in diagram as parts 5 and 6. But if cannot locate the "correct end style" would settle for a different style as long as the threading and OA length works with the Veloce (as I think it will). Please PM me if you (anybody out there) has one, I have a small ton of trade-bait to swap with.
