There are 3 different fast charge (DC) plugs: CCS, CHAdeMo, and Tesla supercharger.

There are 2 different Level 2 plugs: J1772 (every US car but Tesla) and Tesla. There is an adapter that allows you to use a Tesla Level 2 charger with the J1772 plug.

I only know of 2 types. One for level 1 and 2 and another for level 3, which is essentially the same with an additional piece for the DC. Someone said Tesla has their own connector design but that seems counterproductive.

I'm going to continue staying away from the gym for awhile, at least until this latest surge abates somewhat. I just don't trust other people to be conscientious. I've got some at home routines to keep me buff ... er, fit.

Any gas station I have worked in has been plagued with a shortage of parking. Having charge stations would be a pain for a busy gas station especially if there was a shop.

I still have questions. There's a charging station in my town that seems to consist of about a dozen units, all labeled Tesla. So I say to myself, "This community isn't so wealthy that 12 Tesla's will need to simultaneously line up for recharges." If only Teslas can charge there it seems 3 or 4 units should be more than enough. How long does a full recharge take anyway?

In that weather, I would not commute on a bike, even if electrified. I'm not giving up my seat and steering wheel heaters.

Nor am I giving up my AC in the summer.

In any event, the streets between my home and office are not safe enough in my mind to be on them on any kind of bike.

I'm not knowledgeable about Tesla but the different types of charging will take different times. For the Bolt EV, which is an electric only car with a range of roughly 230 miles: if depleted a level 1 charge station, the thing that comes with the car and plugs into a 110 volt outlet, takes about 15 hours.
For level 2, which is 220 volt and requires a wall unit, about half the time, or 7-8 hours.
For a DC fast charger, it's supposed to charge to 80% in 25 minutes, or so.

Of course, you can always do a partial charge if you need to go.

Times can vary depending on how much you want to charge.

It takes my car about 8 hours on a Level 2 charger to recharge from 20% to 80%. Tesla Level 2 chargers are roughly the same, but to some extent it depends on the size of your battery bank.

On a good DC/Level 3 charger, it takes about 15 - 30 minutes to charge from 20% to 80%. That includes the Tesla superchargers.

Out of the place near you that has a dozen Tesla chargers, 1 or 2 of those may be superchargers. The rests, if not all of them, will be Level 2 chargers.

Now, you might ask, what about if you want to charge to 100%? Most brands recommend against regularly charging to 100% since that can shorten battery lifetime. I've done it once, and frankly for my use it didn't make that much difference. Typically, I only charge every 2 to 3 weeks since I don't put a lot of miles on it.

Also, if using a Level 3/supercharger, once you hit the 80% mark, the charging rate really slows down to prevent damage to the batteries. Thus, once you hit that 80% mark in 15 minutes, the charger slows so much that getting to 100% could take several more hours.

Charge times also depend on battery size, battery temperature, and a host of other things.

My home charger can use either 110 volt or 220 volt supply. A charge from 20% to 80% using the 110 volt (Level 1) source takes about 40 hours for my car. Plugged into the 40 amp, 220 volt line I had installed (Level 2) gives me that charge overnight (I've never timed it - I just plug it in when I get home for the day and unplug the next morning).

I'm trying to lay out some kitchen cabinets in SketchUp and my daughter, love her to death, will just not STFU. I mean, she's not even talking to me, she's talking to my wife in the next room over, but it still makes the job harder.

Not to be outdone, when asking my wife about a minor consideration, she says, "wait - we're not doing inset doors?" Oy. I guess that my idea of a kitchen refresh is different than hers. More work ahead of me, I guess.

I first saw one of those stations you are talking about in a shopping center that has a large grocery store in Brattleboro, VT. That was probably 2015. Guess it would be handy to use while shopping.

I have also seen the one at the Stewart's in Clinton Corners on the Salt Point Turnpike. Is that up your way?

The Natural Grocers has their charging stations fairly close to the front door. It's not unusual to have a first gen Prius parked in one of those spots, because, sort of electric....
