FNG, here
Hello, FNG here. Kind of on a re-entry into bicycles. I've been riding a beach bike whenever I'm on a sandy vacation. Mostly I ride motorcycles. Now as a geezer I've been pumping a cruiser around the 'hood for health. Way over 50, I guess I'll be there and at beach bikes where I belong.

Hi there Buzzard!
It’s been a minute since I’ve heard FNG - still makes me laugh every time though.
I see you have a Fuji police bike, that’s pretty cool - how did you come across that?

Hi Freakz, I was the sergeant in planning and training when the department decided to form a community police team. This was 24-25 years ago. I was involved in the purchasing of bike equipment. The department bought 20 Fuji bikes and since I was riding a road bike at the time, I cleared it with the chief and IA and cut my own check for mine. Had it since day one. I sold my road bike but never put on any real mileage with the Fuji. I bought a cruiser around that time and never looked back.
Now with a modern beach bike I'm refurbishing the old cruiser (Giant) and will probably clean up the Fuji and ride it now and then. It's in excellent condition so very likely end up on display in my basement.
