Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Despite heading for 60º today, instead of riding, I'm going to rebuild a retaining wall. THE WALL is one of my last big projects before the house goes on sale later this week.

I am familiar with the correct lyrics (I am sort of a Rain Man when it comes to that), but we were discussing days of the week.

Aha I understand.

Fun fact: I only recently learned the "secret" meaning of the Brittany Spears classic "If You Seek Amy."

I should have used quotes around the word classic. There are air quotes there already but you can't see them online.

Selling the house?

Did you guys change your mind again about moving to Florida? Or did I miss something?

Is (specialty) pharmacies poaching prescriptions a new thing? That's what the staff was saying at the witch doctor's office.

Cardio Doc told me I'm going to die.

Based on the track record of the human race, I can't argue with that.

He said I'm good. Wants me to pay better attention to how my heart feels, if it ever races or feels odd. He wants to do an Echocardiogram and see me again in 3 months.

Sounds reasonable. If this happens again, do a valsalva maneuver (strain really hard like you need to poop until you get red in the face), if it happens frequently you can take a medicine or get an ablation. Luckily this is not a dangerous heart rhythm and not really associated with other heart badness.
