Torpado with pantographed Campy

Just wanted to share pics of a nice Torpado that my old friend brought over. He seems to know nothing about it other than it is Italian and 'full Campy.' The story goes that he bought it years ago from a mutual friend from college for $300. These shots were rather hastily taken, but I thought some of you might appreciate it.

Here's a catalog scan showing the Super Strada.

I'm going to go ride my Schwinn LeTour home now. Laters.

It's a lovely old bike. Torpado is one of those brands that tended to stay on the continent until demand in the states for anything Italian induced anyone who ever built a pretty frame to hunt for a US importer.

Tell him not to do a damned think with it except ride it, clean it, and take it in for an occasional tune-up. And if he's planning to sell it, call me. It looks just my size.

That's a stunner Don. I tend only to see the 70s gaspipe models or nicer 80s models. That looks late 70s? Is there a date on the RD? Thanks for sharing!

Am I the only one that sees just one photo?

EDIT: now I see more than one...
