Suggestions for a new bike - specialized sirrus vs cannondale quick 5

Hello, first post here. Looking to buy a bike mostly for a daily commute to office which is a total of 20 km and longish rides over the weekend. I've tried and short listed the specialized sirrus and cannondale quick 5. Any reasons I should be picking one over the other? Price is similar so are the specs.

Thank you
Parmeet

They look pretty similar. Take them both for a test ride. Go with the bike that speaks to you. If you like them equally, go with the one that looks better, or the one sold by the better bike shop.

Thank you for that. Yes the ride felt pretty similar. The specialized is definitely from a better bike shop. The cannondale though I think felt a touch lighter maybe because the fork on the specialized is steel. I'm sure you've figured out I'm a novice.

I tried both of them. The Cannondale felt smaller and slower. It came with Kendall tires which even though the same size as the Sirrus tires, seemed
to have a bigger profile. I went back and rode the Cannondale twice, but I bought the Sirrus. It just plain felt good. Ten months later it still feels great.
When I went for a second look at the Sirrus, I went for a ride. As soon as it started rolling, my mind was made up.
