Finally bit the bullet…

…and got an E-bike. The last overnight trip on my loaded bikepacking rig involving some very steep fire road climbs did me in…lol
I got the Canyon Pathlite ON.

That was my first choice. … installing a Bafang mid drive. But my bikepacking rig has a micro spline hub, boost spacing, and running 12 speeds. And the narrow, 12 speed Shimano chain. I did not want to deal with the narrow chain and chain line issues during the conversion…

Mine is 11-speed boost.

But I agree; 12-speed is probably too fragile.

Very nice bike. Mid drive, fenders, the works: https://www.canyon.com/en-us/electri...s/pathlite-on/

Only thing missing is a Suntour NCX shock seatpost. Makes the ride SO much smoother! Do you have panniers for the rack yet, or at least a trunk bag? I have a Topeak MTX trunk bag with the fold-down mini-pannier's and it's brilliant for the light grocery runs. (two full bags, but no paper goods or gallon size liquids)

That is quite a nice bike! A bit on the heavy side but the Bosch Performance motor should do the trick. I have a Canyon myself and I had a few inquiries to the customer support, they were reactive and helpful.

I have everything needed, as I have another bikepacking rig, non e-bike. So far, I got rid of the stock saddle and pedals, and installed my own. Also swapped out the stock, 42 chainring to a 34t. I have a spare Jones touring handlebar which I’ll probably switch over to as well…
