Shimano Tourney right shifter
Hi.
I am trying to figure out what is the problem with my old Shimano Tourney STI right shifter. The handle is off when in resting position.
Does anyone had a similar issue??
Any chance someone could take a picture of their working right shifter?
Br.,
Rokas

You might have a frayed shift cable. Try pushing the cable end out of the shifter--shift into high gear, release the cable from the derailleur, release the rear brake quick release or remove the wheel, squeeze the brake lever all the way closed, then try pushing the cable out of the access hole opposite the exit hole. If it comes out clean, spray plenty of WD-40 into the mechanism (catch the drips). It could be dirty too.

Why not show people your broken shifter? Why are you asking us for something you can search for on the internet. andrewclaus had decent advice that I would try.
Beyond simple cheap stuff like that I probably wouldn't put much money towards that bike.

Do you mean the shift lever doesn't return back all the way? Does it shift at all? Is it stuck in that position? If it is not stuck and it occasionally shifts when the weather is warm, then it's just gunked up with old lube and you can use WD40 to flush it out and then re-lubricate with Finish Line dry lube.

Hi. The shifter is removed from the bike and there are no cables. I would like to show the picture but according to the rules, I am not allowed to upload pictures...

No just no. If you need to get to a post count get involved in the forum don't just post nothing in your own thread.
In terms of your shifter try and clean it out with some degreasing agents and let it dry out and try a bit of a light lubricant like Triflow.
