The new SR is wireless, like SRAM AXS and uses cassettes starting with a 10T, with smaller chain rings, like SRAM. They are offering cranks with a 16T difference, including a subcompact 45/29. It will probably take years to trickle down to lower levels that are more affordable, along with cassettes with larger sprockets.

I'm surprised Campy is going the SRAM route on chainring/cogset size. I was under the impression that the whole 48x10 thing still had only limited appeal.

I love my Record 11 speed, but wireless Campag is what I have been waiting for. If it is available for rim brake, hot dog I'm in! If not I will have to pass or wait for wireless bar end shifters to become available.

I know this is a year old thread but I was just as curious as you guys at the time. I got the new WRL in January and it really is pretty amazing. Came from EPS and the leap up is huge. It is finicky at times with waking up though. It has motion sensors on the DRs supposedly to save battery life but sometimes they just don't want to wake up and I'm having to charge these things a lot more often than I thought. Flawless otherwise, I have 1200 miles on the group at this point and and finally really getting the hang of it setup wise. Lots to pay around with and adjust in the app. I've had everything with a thumb button Campy has made over the years and you instantly forget all about it with this new version. I'd do it again.
