Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2009 Cannondale Caad9 6 worth?

I've been searching for my first road bike for some time now and just happened upon an '09 Caad 9 6 that sounds like it's in good shape. The seller is asking $500. Deal or no deal? I'm hoping to check it out this weekend.

I rode a 51 yesterday and that was pretty good. I'm thinking if it's comfortable and I like how it rides I'll try to negotiate a bit with cash.

can't hurt to try to get a better price, but the listed price seems like a pretty fair price to begin with. not screaming bargain material, but a fair deal for both parties.

Umm just the frameset can go for $600+ on eBay, particularly the ones with english BBs. I'd say it's a great deal if it fits you.
