Period correct saddle for 1985ish Echelon Odyssey?
I am restoring this bike (pic is of exact same bike as mine) to be correct for 1985ish when it was assembled from a frame. I believe that Echelon did NOT sell complete bikes, only frames to be assembled by the local shop.
What saddle should I be searching for?

Acknowledging I do not know this brand, the Selle Italia Turbo was super popular in the '80s and there seem to be plenty of vintage copies around, plus they build a new edition still.

An Avocet like the one in the picture was popular then.

I got mine from the original owner, who had built up the frame himself.
It has an Ideale Diagonale saddle. Leather suspension saddles were still popular for touring so a Brooks could be an easy choice.
Probably the most appropriate saddle from back then would be an Avocet Touring, but I always found them a little too round topped for my ass.
My favorite touring saddle was a Vetta. Don't know the model, but they're flat and pretty wide and they sold a BUNCH.
