Trek Domane, stupid marketing. Does this idiocy actually work?

Anyone else see this? It's so stupid. Power transfer engineering? Come on. Can you name a performance carbon bike that doesn't have oversized headtube, oversized downtube and oversized bottome bracket? I can't think of one.
Can you think of a bike that doesn't have raked fork for more comfort? I can't think of one. That's just common sense, if you want compliance, straight fork isn't the solution.
ISO whatever, guess that's a nice gimmick, but no different than any other company finding ways to absorb shock, bent seat stays, Y seat stay, and absorbers.
What a stupid marketing video. Seriously dumb. Do customers actually get sucked into this moron marketing?
It took Trek 3 years to develop an oversized down tube? Who works at Trek? Drunk monkeys?

1) It's over a year old.
2) It's entirely standard. It's no worse than the marketing materials put out by any other manufacturer.
3) I agree Trek was way behind the curve, but who cares? The Madone has been out for about 2 years now.

Would a campaign saying they're doing the same thing as everyone else be more effective?

Thanks for posting a two year old video.
Other than that, what is making you so angry about a company shooting a video and talking about the bike?
Maybe I'm not seeing the same video you are.

Turn your TV on, turn the sound off. A week later you won't believe how stupid most of the news and products pedaled to us is. You are on a lonely trek my friend if you feel that banging your head on the bars will actually stem the production of a typical media wrap.
Just sayin'.

Isospeed is not a gimmick, ride one and you'll find out quickly that it's just awesome.
If you think monkeys work at trek, then you should attempt to go and replace them.

Unfortunately marketing types are not scientists or engineers and as with most bike companies the marketing "hype" is a "crock"! But I rode most of the endurance frames and found the Domane to be superior. The test rides included the Roubaix with its' inserts which wasn't bad. But the Domane with bearings isolating the seat tube is the best available today, at least in the opinion of this 70+ rider. I bought one out of necessity, giving up my S-Works Tarmac. The Domane is heavier but still climbs well considering the longer chain stays and wheelbase.

I assume that Trek has marketing reasons for avoiding calling it a suspension system (I'd guess the word "suspension" doesn't test well with focus groups of roadies or something), but that doesn't change the fact that that's exactly what it is. So it's one of the boldest and most interesting developments in bike tech in the industry mainstream, more because of the decision to implement it at all than the details of the technology. And I'm really curious to see what happens now that it's on their top-end CX bikes, where it will make a real difference.

Yeah, some people get sucked in to it, but would you believe that there are others that are even worse? They actually spread this to others, giving it an even wider audience. What a bunch of maroons those guys are.

Using the words "stupid," "idiocy," "dumb," "moron" in a post...I'd say the OP seems to have some serious anger (or jealousy) issues.
