first road bike?
Hi guys!
I'm looking at getting into triathlons but I'm stuck on the "what bike to get" part
I've looked at alot and ridden a few the ones I've ridden are the
Felt f5 2014
Focus cayo evo 214
Trek madone 3.1 2014
My budget is 2000$ on the bike without extras
I'm 24 and 188cm and thin build 83kg
I'm really stuck on this part I don't want to spend that much on something I will regret.
My concerns where the wheels types and frames on these bikes so any help would be really good
Thanks

Any bike at your budget is more machine than any reasonable hobbyist/amateur will ever need. Don't let that hold you back though, it certainly doesn't stop me from plonking down a good chunk for my own 2-wheel fun.
Pick the bike that feels best. If you can't tell which one feels best after test riding the whole lot, get the one that looks best.

Don't buy anything unless you can ride one first. I would strongly suggest if you are going to test ride a Madone also try the Domane. You won't regret it.

The Felt F5 is a great bike. I just bought an F4 and had my budget been in your range the F5 would have been it. Its a great entry level frame, better than a lot of other entry level carbon frames and if you live any where like I do, you wont see many of them on the road. But seriously ride some bikes and get the one that makes you smile with out even thinking about it.

That question is not as simple as you make it sound,,,,you must first do a through investigation of the inner workings of the company it's self,, you must find out excatly who owns the company,, have they had any recent lawsuits involving name infringments or the like,, compare how many bikes are out there of that particular name or brand,,I think the best way to do that is to hire a Lawyer or detective to do the leg work , after you recieve all information then make your decisions accorddingly, remember you don't want a bike that everybody rides or theres' too many already on the road , this is serious busness now! good luck and beware of the haters,,,,,,,

I think the reason people tolerate these threads is there are so many people who just enjoy talking about the new bikes they've bought
.. listen to the advice though, go ride, and just pick the one in your favorite colors ... they're essentially all good bikes at that price range
