I interpreted the title to mean "frame built too" . . . but apparently that's just me.

My 41 Translator ™ kicks in automatically now. I always read "built" as "assembled", unless I'm in the Framebuilders forum.

I built this frame for racing a couple years after high school. Tange Prestige tubing, Henry James Lugs & fork crown. Wiegle painted it. Paint has suffered a bit in the last 30+ years, but it's hanging in there. Upgraded to a Campy 10 mish-mash.
And my modern budget race bike (I "assembled" it, but didn't build the frame) (about $1300):
I haven't bought a "new" bike since I was a kid.

It's moot anyway, the bike was sold last fall to a gentleman in the Bay Area. I have a 59 with much worse, yet serviceable, paint I've picked up for myself.

Here's what it looked like [different wheels] right before I boxed it up and shipped it across the country. Veloce 9s for those keeping track.
Had it fit me, I wouldn't have let it out of my sight.

Lemond won the tour on the ADR team in 89, I think this color scheme was around for 90 and 91. Much like all the USPS liveried treks of the Armstrong years, bikes up and down the line had very similar paint. Mine was an aelle tubed frame, but there are SL and maybe even SLX tubed frames. The key to the upmarket frames is a chrome chainstay, and a chrome fork.

Pulling the internally routed cables was definitely the hardest part putting together the P2.
