Anyone know and can recommend a wool, hooded, base layer?
I have one from "Cutter", whom I think was owned and subsequently shutdown by Backcountry, called the Hoodlum. Long sleeves, some sort of fairly sheer sports wool, super comfy and just warm enough for down to about 60°, and they had also had a short or no-sleeve version as well. I wish I had stocked up on a bunch of them when they were blown out on Chainlove or whatever several years ago as they are now unavailable anywhere. Can anyone recommend something similar?

'SmartWool' makes them. They even have a few options like zipped, pullover, etc. Good stuff, I use several of their products for skiing.

I love the cutter long sleeve wool jersey. Fits perfectly, looks awesome, perfect for cool days but still usable as the day warms up. Full zip. And has pockets.
Can't find them anywhere now.
None of the similar weight merino base layers from other mfg have any pockets. So annoying.

I like ^this^ one. The other great thing about the Hoodlum is how the hood is cut up front, it basically serves as a neck gaiter too and does not open under the chin like the one above.

Not cheap, but Rapha has some excellent merino wool baselayers. They always have good clearances, too.

I got one of the non-hooded versions off of chainlove. Very nice for merino wool.
oops, just noted they only have xxl. Maybe find it elsewhere?

I haven't tried the hooded one but I've been very happy with ibex. This one is a bit lighter than the one you linked. SmartWool has not held up for me lately.
