1983 Shimano 600EX group
I recently acquired a bike because I just wanted the wheels. So this drive train group is posted here. All 1983 Shimano 600EX Arabesque. I have cleaned the years off this stuff but you may want to do more detail and lubing prior to service. The FW, 13-24, has not been overhauled but feels great. BB bearings and ball tracks are nice. The RD wheels were crudded up so I replaced them.
Note on the crankset. DS side is fine. The NDS crank arm was tough to get off. It was hard to get the “self extraction” ring out which I then threw away as I do not condone such ideas. The proper extraction tool threaded in but not as smooth as I like. The condition of the first few threads is suspect. The crank arm was on real tight after 30 years of neglect. Heat gun help. Its possible some PO or their Mechanic tried and failed to get the crank off then swept it under the carpet. The NDS crank arm may work fine for ages but full disclosure. I think this group is priced accordingly. Let me know if not.
$76 shipped (USPS medium flat rate box with tracking). Not shipping outside CONUS right now. PP F&F or add 4% for fees.
SOLD. Thanks all
