Sadly Mavic did not change their price

However, the wheels got lighter(not sure because i never owned or touched mavic io or compete)

The fact that skinner didn't get his bike in time I don't think speaks to the ability of the bike, considering the other 2 riders just won gold on it.

Or perhaps the rider won the race we all make too big of deal about the bike...

anyone catch the UK TP? Im pretty sure all the guys took 1 lap pulls except for wiggo who was doing what looked like 2-2.5 lap turns at the front. What an animal.

Hindes was the only one on the UK bike, Kenny and Skinner were both on the Cervelo. Apparently Hindes needs the extra stiffness that the UK bike gives him and that he is used to. I read as well that he's gone to a bigger gear which enables the other two to stay on his wheel for the first half of his lap and then a bit of extra speed to slingshot Kenny and Skinner into lap 2.

The GB TP was a great ride, Wiggins did some massive turns and then dropped off at the end. It was all so smooth that it makes you think they've got another 2 seconds in them, same with the GB women's TP ride.

Take a Look: the most popular track bike at Rio - Cycling Weekly
This article is saying that
"The Look R96 is also compatible with either right side or left side drivetrains."

But don't they need special rear wheel because of the threading?

Not if you use lock rings. Or perhaps they use splined cogs.
I believe some of the Olympic bikes use reduced hub spacing so special hubs would be needed.

I'm not sure all chainstays are compatible. Some bikes have indents on the right stay.

True. But even with my LOOK 496 using normal left side drive Dura Ace cranks, I needed a bottom bracket spacer for the 170mm cranks to clear the chain stay. So, I assume they would declare the same, "It works if you use a BB spacer."

GB trispoke is on sale, but not sure about the price
I am guessing at least 5000 dollars lol

T5 handlebar information
Full titanium bars are available in 26 cm width. Titanium stem with carbon bars are available in fixed widths of 28, 32 and 35cm. The sprint bars were designed for some of the World’s strongest riders and are incredibly stiff, yet remain aero. Stem length is fixed and must be specified at the time of ordering.

We gotta buy them all like pokemon go lol

Any reason why Great Britain ditched the mavic io and comete for a blank trispoke and campy disk?

Well, I can speculate:

Trispokes have always proven to be really fast in aero testing. Faster than 5 spokes. One of the most popular complaints about tri-spokes was that they "felt soft" and lacked the solf feel that that 5 spokes have.

It looks like they have made a beefier tri-spoke that addressed that issue.

Except, that if you use threaded cogs, you would unthread the cog if you had it on the left side.

Remember when wilbur and orville wright invented the innovation of machining the crankarm and pedal on the left side of the bike with left-hand threads to prevent the pedal from coming unscrewed while cycling?

That changed everything!

Lefty loose-y, unless its the left side of the bike!

Yeah, but that's the hub in the wheel, not the bike

You could easily do it with a splined hub like White Industries.

Of course. Hence the disclaimer "if you use threaded cogs"

HED/Onyx/White hub

Still no good pix of hubs.

The front hub and fork combination is 30% narrower than a conventional front hub and fork combination.
The rear hub is asymmetric, and its drive side was optimized for the perfect chain line while the non-drive side is significantly narrower than conventional designs in order to improve aerodynamics.
