Bottom bracket tool with guide pin?

Hey all,

We have an unmarked ISIS bottom bracket removal/installation tool at our shop that has a handy guide pin.

It is by far our favorite tool of the bunch and I'd love to get a replacement. Does anyone know where I might find something like this for sale?

Cheers!

Found this:

https://www.superbiketool.com/en/pro...k_tool/TB-1455

Dunno anything about the company, and the website doesn't seem to support direct order or provide cost info. Does have a "Find and Buy" button on the page, though.

Hope this helps.

Well the Find and Buy button indeed showed me that there is a shop in the Gdańsk area selling them, which is good for me

Thanks, however, I would prefer to have it just as the tool with no handle.

Didn't see any such tools when I originally searched; this was the only one with a guide pin I found. But it was a quick search, so I could well have missed one if such a tool exists.

Hope you can find the type you prefer. At least you now have a backup option.

Are you saying it's a socket style tool (that you'd use with a ratchet), but the socket is not hollow? It has a solid "floor" with a guide pin in the middle? I can't say that I've ever seen such a thing. They're typically hollow, which is often used to the mechanic's advantage: you can use a threaded rod and some washers and nuts to hold the socket tight to the splines so that it doesn't cam out during break-away torque. I suppose a right-sized guide pin would provide similar function, but I don't think I've ever seen such a design in a socket style tool.

A little more common is the BB tool with built in threaded tool holder. Tacx, and maybe VAR made them.

I'm curious, too.

OP: any way you could post a picture, either here in this discussion or in a profile album? I'd be curious in seeing what you have, 'cause I don't think I've ever even seen a photo of what you describe.
