late on this, but Albert completely missed the opportunity there. his bikes were featured on the covers and in stories of many USA cycling publications usually winning races.
Blank. I did like his downtube graphic - for a time on top of the tube was Oakland.
meanwhile Paris-Sport used a stylized version of a automotive country emblem, a tall oval with a big F. Much good publicity through that.

Thanks for that info, Juvela. I picked up the frame it adorns earlier this year, I think it's a 1956 based on the serial but not sure. If that syncs with your knowledge of when they were made in Wales that would confirm. Nice looking specimen and a recent respray, Reynolds 531 straight gauge based on the decal and that feels correct. I'll post a thread on it when I eventually get it done.

was going by the graphic design - which certainly does not look as though from the time of your frame
have never known to what extent Clements badged machines from the CE / Falcon plant may differ from their CE / Falcon badged brethren
have seen Clements cycles which exhibited a letter C transfer on the head rather than a 3D head emblem but do no know during what years this was a practice
some years following cessation of play at the Welsh facility two young Yanks acquired the rights to the name and set up an assembly facility of some sort in Belfast, Northern Ireland. reportedly the frames for these machines were contract supplied. operation short lived.

There wasn't much left of the head badge (or any other decals) when I brought home this 50 year-old F.W.Evans.
The decal is pretty rough, but there's just enough to see which shop it came from.
Luckily, H. Lloyd has replacements.

were your researches able to determine a specific maker for the frame?
as recalled, Evans a retail shop which performed no fabrication
do not recall if there was a single frame supplier or more than one...
